G.W. Burke Testimonials
November 12,2001
To Whom It May Concern:
Thank you for settling the case with my insurance company about the fire damage
on the property located at 964 Western Ave. Colton, CA
The insurance company tried to give near to nothing or nothing at all. Thank you
for getting the maximum amount possible.
I will highly recommend your company to anyone going through the same
Problem.
Special thanks to Mr. Jason Burke, Mr. Michael Burke and Mrs. Isela Sandoval.
Sincerely yours,
Peter Akhtar

This letter recommends G. W. Burke and Associates to any property owner seeking to settle insurance claims for property loss.
There is in my opinion, no way for a property owner to receive just compensation from an insurance company without the services of a privately retained adjuster to be the owners advocate. After 4 months of phone calls, letters, and nonaction I retain the services of Jason Burke and his firm. Mr. Burke and his company held the insurance company accountable to the terms of the policy. They are knowledgeable, tough and competent. They obtained a higher settlement, paid for their services and increased the amount I received.
My only mistake was I should've hired Mr. Burke and his firm the day the loss occurred.

Dear G. W. Burke and Accosiates,
I am writing to say how pleased we are with the outcome of the case with Farmers Insurance. The case was dragging on until your company got involved and then it was settled very quickly and for over $125,000 more then the insurance company was offering to begin with. The end result was checks totaling over $400,000 when all was said and done.
Thank you for the great work and great results
Sincerely,
Kevin Patterson

Dear Donald:
I have just received your third estimate for repairs for my loss at 3013 Wisteria Lane in Fullerton. This is my first insurance loss, and I hope that Like a good neighbor State Farm would be there
I need to communicate how disappointed I am in the way you have been handling this claim.
I can understand some complexity in discovering all of the damage to said property.
However, I am sure glad I hired a public adjuster to assist me in dealing with you. Without G. W. Burke's assistance, I would have probably been stuck with your first low-ball estimate. Even the attitude of your fire restoration contractor was very disappointing. Everyone that you have involved has tried to downplay my damage trying to minimize the loss
I am not satisfied with your payment for loss of rents nor will I accept it. I would like to know how you arrived at your figure. The loss of rent is the easiest part of the process to calculate. I have an existing lease that was generating $1700 per month. The previous year the lease generated over $1600 per month. To establish a fair rental value of $1400 is very insulting.
You also continue to make requests for me to provide an income and expense statement for this property. This must be something they teach you in adjuster school. This is not a business. This was the first home I owned. I started my family in this house and obviously you have never been sensitive to that fact nor my loss.
Your latest letter dated October 23rd also makes reference that there was no Business Personal Property damage in this loss. You're right, it was my personal property and window coverings and many other items that were damaged.
Your letter also states that you have spoken to several other contractors about repairs on my property. I would like to get names and phone numbers of these contractors so I may contact them and interview them also.
In summary your actions have proven that I made the right decision to get a public adjuster involved. I would not have had the time or the knowledge to deal with someone like you who simply wants to minimize my loss. I have protected my property with State Farm for over 10 years. I also have a life insurance policy with your company. I cringe upon thinking what you might put my wife through upon my death. I felt after reading all the correspondences in this matter I needed to say something. I will be expecting a response to the issues I have raised in this letter.
Sincerely,
Todd Nelson (unsatisfied customer of State Farm)
Dear Sir:
My husband and I both consider we received a much better settlement working through a Public Adjuster. It was easier to understand what our coverage was and what the process would entail. The Office Staff, especially Isela, were available and very helpful in answering questions.
The contractor Kevin Barry with South Coast Contractors, was very helpful in explaining the work done on the house. He was always available by phone and the work was done in a timely manner.
Sincerely,
Mary & Gerry Mansfield

Dear Debbie:
My deepest thanks to G. W. Burke & Co.,for a final fair settlement after a protracted four month struggle with the company that carried the fire insurance on my home. After supplying all documents, my insurer mislaid papers, raised absurd requests, and created considerable additional indebtedness that was totally unnecessary.
I secured the services of a Public Insurer since I am retired with a serious health history. I had begun to move back to Illinois. I need to escape polluted air and be near extended family. I wanted a local agent to pursue a routine settlement so I could leave.
My friends here had purchased plane tickets to drive me since my physician discouraged flying. Once here, the insurer demanded I return for additional sworn statement, then lost my physicians letter on travel four times, finally admitting it to be unnecessary.
I might have pursued this myself if I had intended to stay in California. The amount to be covered by insurance was only 2.5 % of annual cash flow during my business career, but a substantial amount in retirement. I was underinsured by at least $80,000 plus the value of selected books from a lifetime of study, manuscripts (I am a writer), and a computer with files(and I am a coordinator for a national organization), all of inestimable value. Still the insurer presumed to quibble over the coverage.
It would have been a mistake to have pursued settlement on my own. A man who represents himself in a court of law has a fool for a client!
says the old adage. G. W. Burke & Assoc. did not represent itself as the lowest priced public adjustment service, but ii feel in view of its services it has more than earned its commission.
In fact, the insurance claim of a friend out here in Illinois was rejected due to a clause in fine print. He considered his case to be routine and dismissed my suggestion, Naw, I can do something like that myself and save the cash.
He lost.
I am grateful to all you at G. W. Burke & Associates, and particularly you Debbie. Tell Jason to give you a raise! My thanks to him also. A good boss hires good people!
You may use my name. I will respond to phone requests for verification of the above.
Sincerely,
L Dean Hay

Dear Sirs
Enclosed are 2 checks that you have requested a endorsement guarantee and their return. I also want to thank you and especially Tonya for all the work you guys, have put in resolving my claim. I have to admit when todd showed up unannounced that morning, I was very spectacle and thought he was just another ambulance chaser. I'm thoroughly convinced now that I wouldn't have gotten nearly as much if I had tried dealing with the insurance company myself.
Thank you all again.
Sincerely,
Joe Frink
